Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their ability, device or language.
Our commitment
Somali Irish Centre aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, in line with the EU Web Accessibility Directive.
What we have done
- The site works with a keyboard alone, and a “Skip to content” link is the first thing on every page.
- Text and buttons meet colour-contrast guidelines, and pages still work when text is enlarged to 200%.
- Images have text descriptions, and form fields have clear labels and error messages.
- The site respects your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Many pages are available in Somali, and our team speaks Somali and English.
Known limitations
- Some older PDF reports may not be fully accessible. Ask us and we will send the information in another format.
- Embedded maps and videos come from other providers and may not be fully accessible.
